Methodology |
We mainly use the Communicative Approach to design the syllabus and to select the material for classes, as well.
The four skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking are integrated in each class. If it is required that the student develops one skill in particular, the course will be designed to do so, but the other skills will be also developed in the classes.
Some of the activities that can be practised in class are the following:
►Reading and writing articles; writing e-mails, proposals, memos, minutes, letters, summaries, faxes and brochures among others.
►Listening and reading comprehension of texts, telephoning and making presentations.
►Debates, simulations, negotiations, case studies, presentations, problem solving and teleconferences.
We also use students’ materials related to their work.
We evaluate students twice in the year. The four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing are assessed. We agree the date of the evaluation in advanced to avoid interfering with the closures of quarter, year balance sheets or other moments of further work.
For students that attend international exams, these are considered as the final evaluation of the course.
